The coordinated shoot will see an ex-army shooter search 76 properties over the next three days.
It comes after producers battled a feral pig problem last year with the pests causing significant damage to chickpea crops in the area and concerns over spread of disease through pigs.
The cost will be subsidised by Western Downs Regional Council and the Queensland Murray Darling Committee with the landowners also paying a portion based on hectares shot.
Similar shoots of this nature in different areas have killed more than 3,000 pigs.
