Ballabay is located located 20km north west of Pentland and 120km west of Charters Towers and covers 7988 hectares (19,740 acres).
The rolling term lease is described as a balance of soft grazing country along Cape River frontage with ironbark and box forest running to sandy upland of wattle and bloodwood on gravelly quartz ridges plus small areas of steeper but still useful hillside.
Water is supplied from a bore on the bank of the Cape River reticulating to 34 troughs. The property has a license to take 250 megalitres from Cape River and another 15ha water license. There is 65ha developed for farming of which 59ha of the frontage country is developed for irrigation from a 17ha centre pivot irrigator through four pumping portals. About 47ha is currently being farmed.
The established homestead complex features a main house and staff quarters with workshop/machinery shed, hay shed and steel cattle yards.The property has 19 main grazing paddocks with mostly plain wire electric fencing, plus holding paddocks and laneways.
Laurel Vale is located 15km east of Prairie and 60km east of Hughenden. The two Grazing Homestead Perpetual Lease titles cover 7396ha (18,275 acres).
Laurel Vale is described as a mix of grazing country types with black or brown heavy soil plains merging with red sandy loam soils of open forest, mainly ironbark. Water supply is provided by two bores supplying 34 troughs.
