According to farmers the ongoing sale of $1/litre milk in supermarkets was directly resulting in unsustainable returns and farmers being forced out of the industry.
The day was hosted by the Platell family on its highly productive Urara farm at Tabooba, south of Beaudesert. The Platells milk up to 360 cows producing 3 million litre of milk a year.
