Quality was quite mixed and the lesser types had a negative effect on the general trend of the market.
There were no bullocks on offer this week, heavy steers 500-550kg reached 270c/kg, heavy heifers over 400kg sold to 295c to average 275c.
Heavy cows topped at 228c to average 217c, 450-520kg cows made as much as 213c to average 206c, while bulls over 600kg sold to 218c.
Heavy feeder steers sold to 330c to average 297c, steers 350-400kg reached 324c to average 296c, 280-350kg steers made as much as 354c to average 311c, while 200-280kg steers sold to 350c.
Feeder heifers 350-400kg topped at 295c to average 275c, 280-350kg heifers sold to 290c to average 258c.
Meanwhile, 200-280kg heifers made to 390c for one high quality pen of Brangus heifers, the weight category averaged 317c.
Only a single pen of medium to small frame Droughtmaster cross cows with branded calves at foot selling for $1260 per unit.
Sale Highlights:
The Hayden Family, Janibee Valley, Capella offered 350kg Brangus cross steers to make 318c for 350kg and $1113.
Meanwhile, Rhonda Ryan, Banyula, Capella had her Braford/South Devon cross steers topped at 307c for 445kg and $1368.
The Moriarty Family, Echidna Valley, Emerald sold 612kg Droughtmaster cross cows to 218c and $1335.
While Johno and Carmel Tibbles, Westlyn, Springsure offered 585kg Charbray heifers to 260c and $1522.
Barry and Emma Sloan, Stanley Park, Anakie sold 397kg Droughtmaster cross heifers to 295c and $1173.
