A Registered Australian Stock Horse topped the 22nd Annual Chinchilla Performance Horse sale, Chinchilla Showgrounds at $9000 on Saturday, March 4.

Chesters mother won led and working stock horse classes at Brisbane Royal Show. Elvale Chichester was purchased by Andrew Newcombe, Rosewood Hill, Gympie who was looking for a good, big strong, athletic horse who was free moving and could work cattle well.
A total of 54 horses were sold from the 92 offered to average $1816 or the 54 horses sold to average $3095
The top selling horse was five and half year old, bay gelding, Elvale Chichester, a Registered Australian Stock Horse, by Ophir Bullett and offered by Rick and Joe Payne, Lelant, Munduberra.
The gelding had done limited drafts in 2016 for a few places with consistent 22 yards.

An experienced unregistered stock horse, Pinnaroo Paris, Bay Quarter Horse mare, offered by Glen Fanning, Warwick sold for $7750.
Jazzmie a bay mare offered by AR AG Anderson Paramont, Roma sold to Craig Davidon for $4500 to top the Childs quiet horses or pony. Jazzmine had brought multiple kids through the ranks from polocrosse to mounted games.
Condarra Rashcal a young unregistered stock horse offered by BJ and NJ Ernst, Meandarra sold for $4000.
Brycen Hayes, Kaimkillenbun offered Scarlet, an unregistered Quarter Horse cross chestnut mare sold for $4000.
Image an eight year old experienced unregistered stock horse won the experienced stock horse cut out with a score of 23 and was sold by Shirley Lang, Cadellia Taroom for $3250.
Buyers came from across Queensland and as far away as the Northern Territory to purchase a number of quality horses. Sale organiser Margaret Whip from Property Sales and Rentals at Chinchilla said this was her last Performance Horse sale.
