Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers conducts hundreds of live, unreserved public equipment auctions each year. They have more than 40 permanent auction sites around the world – including Brisbane and Geelong – that typically host four or five auctions each year.
But sometimes it makes more sense to take the auction to the customer. Often Ritchie Bros. is approached by customers who don’t live near one of their auction sites – and still want the benefits of selling at a Ritchie Bros. unreserved auction.
That’s why Ritchie Bros. decided to conduct an auction in a region that’s accessible to agricultural buyers and sellers, and on Saturday, March 18 they’ll be bringing the show to Moree, NSW.
Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers regional operations manager Andrew Chapman said, logistically, holding auctions in regional locations like Moree will better service agricultural customers.
“By bringing the auctions to them we’re providing an additional sales channel to farmers wanting to sell equipment, as well as a new source of supply for those wishing to buy,” he said.
Ritchie Bros. regularly see more than 2,000 people attending their auctions in Brisbane and Geelong, and over half that again participating online. With the community engagement they’ve been receiving, they’re expecting strong crowds in Moree as people make a day of what is shaping up to be one of largest farm machinery auctions in the country.
Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers agriculture territory sales manager Brandon Murray said community interest has been overwhelming.
“From the moment we signed our first package for the sale, calls have been coming thick. We’ve got a great selection of ag machinery in this sale, and we know the demand is there,” he said.
With many farmers getting ready for sowing and harvest, this auction will be a great opportunity to buy and sell, and more than 170 items have already been consigned, including combines, tractors, sprayers and more.
As with every Ritchie Bros. unreserved auction, every item will be sold to the highest bidder on auction day, regardless of price – their will be no minimum bids or reserve prices.
There’s really nothing like the excitement of one of Ritchie Bros. live auctions, and attendees can also enjoy the BBC they’ll be running on the day with all proceeds going to the local community.”
Farmers from across Australia who are unable to attend in person can bid online in the live auction via rbauction.com.au, or the Ritchie Bros. mobile app.
Don’t miss this exciting auction being held at the Moree Showgrounds starting at 10am on March 18. For more details please visit the Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers website.
