“From Wandoan to Eidsvold is very dry especially around the ‘Sujeewong’ to Eidsvold area. The Durong /Flag Springs area received up to 75mm on March 4. A few isolated areas around the Guluguba district are in good order. Cattle generally over the district are still doing well even in the drier areas.”
Joe said that producers are keeping a close watch on feed reserves as winter approaches. “At this stage there have not been any forced sales due to the dry conditions. Oats growers will plant on the next rain,” he said.
