TERRY and Heather Elliott will test the Central Queensland property market when they offer their two quality Bauhinia Downs properties for sale by auction in the Rockhampton Leagues Club on March 2.

Their properties Old Delargum and Murraway will be sold individually and are for genuine sale. Terry and Heather are retiring and have bought a house on the outskirts of Yeppoon.
Old Delargum is located 70km south west of Moura and covers 3207ha (7924 acres).
It is described as being mainly brigalow, softwood scrub country running up to soft tableland country. It is grassed predominately with buffel and other improved grasses. There is also 520ha of leucaena, which was cut recently. Spottswood Creek runs through the property.
The property is well watered by four bores, supported by six dams. Water is pumped to 12 tanks that service 30 troughs across the property.
There is a large set of wooden cattle yards that features a Pro-Chute crush with scales, and a double decker loading ramp. There is a shipping container to store cattle equipment and chemicals adjacent to the yards.
Old Delargum is divided into 20 paddocks and two holding paddocks. They are all connected to the cattle yards by laneways.
The main homestead has three bedrooms and two bathrooms and was built in 2011. There is also a cottage, which was built in 2012, an air conditioned donga, 35x18m machinery shed, hay shed, and two shipping containers on stumps.
Murraway is located 52km west of Moura and covers 4080ha (10,081 acres). It is described as a great balance of soft brigalow, softwood scrub country with areas of strong forest type country. All has been pulled and developed with improved pasture. There is 160ha of cultivation on fertile loamy soils adjacent to Conciliation Creek.
Water is supplied from nine equipped dams supplying troughs throughout the property.
Improvements include three well maintained homes including the four bedroom main homestead, a 30x12m machinery shed, 18x10m work shed, hay shed, shipping containers on stumps, stables with a saddle room, feed rooms and steel yards, and three grain silos. Murraway has two sets of steel cattle yards.
Marketing agent Gary Bishop, Hourn & Bishop Qld, said the properties have been well developed and the improvements on both are first class.
“It is rare that two properties are offered on the one day like this, so it will be a good test for the market,” Mr Bishop said.
