Numbers eased back from the the previous week at Dalby with a yarding of 3945 and a few consignments from the far western districts were again included in the line-up. Buyer attendance was good, however most were operating on reduced prices.
Medium weight yearling steers to feed averaged 10c less and the heavy weights lost 14c while medium weight yearling heifers to feed averaged close to 30c/kg cheaper. Heavy grown steers and bulls averaged 10c to 20c less and cows lost a further 9c to 10c/kg.
Medium weight yearling steers averaged 358.5c with medium weight yearling heifers to feed making 304.2c to 335c to average 315c. Heavy yearling heifers made 300c to 322.2c to average 309.7c.
Grown steers 500-600kg made from 285.2c to 328.2c and averaged 301.2c with grown heifers averaging 241.8c. Heavy weights cows sold from 235.2c to 262.2c with an average of 243.3c. Heavy bulls averaged 255.9c.
