PART of the well-known Darling Downs property Knapdale is set to create fierce competition among local farmers in the coming weeks.
Knapdale South comprises of 260 hectares (642 acres) of the well known Prairie Plain on the Evanslea Road south of Jondaryan.
The blue ribbon cultivation country is being offered by the Mead family will be auctioned by Ray White Rural in Dalby on September 29.
The country is all level to slightly undulating treeless plain with deep soft self mulching clay soils, some of the finest soils on the Darling Downs. About 251ha is cultivated, and is currently sorghum stubble from last year’s summer crop.
There is a bore on the property equipped with a pump and poly tank. The bore is suitable for supplying water for spraying.
