GRAIN growers across Queensland and NSW are invited to attend a series of Farm Business Updates next month, which will focus on the drivers beyond yield in an agronomy business.
Updates will be held in Dubbo on September 5, Goondiwindi on September 7 and Tamworth on September 8.
A new element at the GRDC Farm Business Updates is the dashboard,’ which aims to set the scene for other presentations and discussions at the event, defining key aspects of the business operating environment for farm businesses engaged in grains production in the local region.
The dashboard will ensure participants at the event can consider presentations during the day in the context of the local farm business environment, with presentations promoting discussion both during the formal sessions and informal discussion between participants throughout the day.
The Updates will hear from speakers including Richard Heath from the Australian Farm Institute, Simon Fritsch of Agripath, Lindsey Bell from CSIRO and Natasha Searle from Rural Directions on topics including farm business scale, optimising performance of cropping systems and how to get the best from your management team.
Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided.
