FEMALES sold to a top of $12,000 to average $3504 at the annual Brahman female sale in Gympie today.
The top price was paid for the 19-month-old grey Brahrock MS Oballe Elmo (JDH Sir Oballe Manso 750-7/Brahrock Miss Elmo Empress 4480) offered by Royce Sommerfield, Brahrock, Maryborough, and bought by Geoff Angel, Glengarry, Kunwarara.
Mr Angel also bought the second top price female at $11,000, the 18-month-old grey Barambah Aerial Manso (FBC A Milton Manso 214-10/PBF Aerial Manso 214-10), offered by Gary Hiette, Barambah Brahmans, Darts Creek.
Also in the top money at $10,250 was the joined 32-month-old TMB Miss Jay Manso (TMB Major De Mando/TMB Lady Jess Manso) offered by Paul and Donna Taylor, Paulonna, Goomeri, and bought by Will and Tracey Fenech, Craigleigh, Wowan.
The top red at $7000 was the 14-month-old Warraka Aleena 2987 offered by Bill Blakeney, Warraka Brahmans, Coondoo, which sold to Sandy and Jamie McCartney, Bucca Station, Bundaberg.
In summary 78 of the 82 lots offered sold for a gross of $273,300.
