The meeting: Donna and Kris both went to small primary schools in Monto that would join up for school sports and camps. It wasn't until Kris returned home after finishing boarding school that their romance began. They shared a strawberry sundae at the local Monto Show and as they say... the rest is history.
The proposal: Donna was crowned the 2013 Queensland Miss Showgirl and back at the Ekka the following year, Kris popped the question. Donna explains: "It was a pretty low key affair until it made headlines in Queensland Country Life and my sister, a rural reporter for the ABC radio, announced it on air!”
The wedding day: Kris and Donna were married on the Dingle family property alongside Wuruma Dam between Monto and Eidsvold, which has been in the family for four generations. A little early spring rain brought some much needed green shoot to the property and things were looking fresh for their big day.
The dress: Donna's dress was actually her Mum's wedding dress. She altered the sleeves slightly and had the veil made into that gorgeous cape!
