TIM and Gina Fairfax's 8228ha (20,323 acre) Monto property Rawbelle has sold for $4.5 million immediately following an auction in Biloela on Tuesday.

The sale price is equal to about $547/ha ($221/acre).
The buyers were local landholders Paul Hatton and his sons Brett and Adam, at Dareen, between Monto and Eidsvold.
The Hatton's also own the nearby property Old Rawbelle.
Located about 70km from Monto and 70km from Biloela, the exceptionally well maintained EU accredited freehold property is said to run 1500 breeders.
Marketing agent Gary Bishop, Horne and Bishop Qld, told Queensland Country Life that the property had generated significant presale interst and there were about 70 people at the auction.
Improvements include an outstanding homestead, two smaller homes, sheds, three sets of cattle yards, and a small area of irrigation.
Rawbelle is located in the headwaters of the Nogo River and is described as very well watered with a piped scheme supported by dams.
