Show president Trevor Wessling was excited to announce the new exhibition featuring mules, which saw a number of added competitions including the best-dressed mule.
"It's been a fairly tough year and the number of exhibitors is slightly down, but organisers are still very pleased with the quality of exhibits," Mr Wessling said.
"We also had our usual huge two-days of horse events and all the things that children like to look at in our sideshow alley."
Mr Wessling said the show committee had worked tirelessly to encourage younger people to become involved in the show and their efforts had paid off.
"Our Miss Showgirl section had nine entrants this year, which is very encouraging."
