Located at Gogango, about 100km from Rockhampton, the property was auctioned in Brisbane on April 19.
Marketing agent Richard Brosnan, Ray White Rural, told Queensland Country Life that two parties operated at the auction.
Rookwood is described as being a good balance of brigalow, belah, ooline and softwood scrub and open forest type country.
The pastures are predominantly buffel with Rhodes grass, green panic, seca and verana stylo.
Rookwood has been running 2500 trade cattle.
Improvements include a homestead, cottage, truckshed, and workshop, and a set of cattle yards to handle 1500 head.
