RAINFALL across central and western Queensland has brought welcome relief to producers.

Weatherzone senior meteorologist Brett Dutschke said in the 24 hours leading up to 9am this morning Bedourie, Thargomindah, and Quilpie recorded their heaviest rainfalls in 18 months.
Bedourie received 34 millimetres, 43mm fell at Thargomindah and Quilpie recorded 33mm.
Cunnamulla received 23mm, Windorah 25mm, Ballera 10mm and Boulia 10mm.
It was the heaviest May rain Bedourie and Quilpie residents have seen for 23 years.
"In just 24 hours Bedourie tripled its monthly average, Thargomindah doubled it and Quiplie exceeded it," Mr Dutschke said.
Rain was falling throughout today's Dalby cattle sale and in the 30 hours to 3pm, 9mm was recorded.
They were hoping for rain at yesterday's Roma store sale and they received it.
Over the same time period Roma received 33mm and 7mm was recorded at Mt Isa.
