Grant, Daniel & Long managing director Peter Daniel said more of the cattle will continue to hit the market over the coming weeks at the Roma and Dalby sales.
“Today we sold predominantly Angus cows, pregnancy tested in calf from Nerrigundah at Quilpie,” he said.
“Being a dispersal sale it always creates a bit more interest and the cattle were making up to 110c/kg instead of 80-90c/kg.”
The average weight of the cattle was 434kg and they sold for an average price of 102.7c/$445.66.
Well-known cattleman Mr Quintana and chief executive officer of Ray White Livestock Charlie Maher passed away in a plane crash in late March.
