Week-on-week the good quality cattle were selling well, but without the previous week’s good quality, large single vendor lines prices slipped back slightly.
In some early sales, the Thorne family, Holmleigh, Mitchell, sold 285kg Santa-cross steers for 192c/kg to make $547/head.
Peel Mungerie, Inverness, Blackall, sold 305kg Santa-cross steers to 188c/$574.
The Rolfe family, Nindinna, Roma, sold 345kg Charolais-cross steers to return 172c/$594.
Walkaway Beef, Bon Accord, Muckadilla, sold 241kg Santa steers to 165c/$398.
