A cocktail party was held on Wednesday night, August 21, at Mary's Commercial Hotel, to celebrate the town's birthday.
Organiser Liz Ryan said about 50 people attended the event, with some travelling from Rockhampton, Brisbane and Toowoomba for the night.
A particular highlight of the evening was the presentation of a silver mug.
"The mug was given to Jennifer Brown (nee Hurlock) because she was the first baby born in Dalby in 1963, the year the town turned 100," Ms Ryan said.
"The council presented her with a silver mug to commemorate it and she has now presented it back to the council as a keepsake."
Ms Ryan said the celebrations had been well received by the town and the 'Delicious and DeLIGHTful Festival' on the weekend was fantastic.
Queensland Country Life's Sarah Coulton attended the cocktail party and learnt more about Dalby's fascinating history.
