It was a mixed selection of cattle with most classes of steers improving in price, while heifer prices were patchy at times, but were firm in price for the better quality lines.
In some early sales, B&J Fitgerald, Abbington, Roma, sold 202kg crossbred steers for 184c/kg to make $372/head.
JD Cross, Quandong, Dirranbandi, sold 440kg Angus-cross steers to 183c/$807.
S Kidman and Co, Durham Downs, Eromanga, sold 241kg Santa-cross steers to 182c/$439.
S and K Lunney, Eurorel, Roma, sold 247kg Angus-cross steers to 181c/$448.
B Weir and M Black, Emu Park, Roma, sold 344kg Charolais-cross steers to 180c/$620.
T and K Burns, Coreela, Roma, sold 331kg Simmental-cross steers to 180c/$596.
Revilo Pastoral Company, Revilo, Mitchell, sold 427kg Santa-cross steers to 177c/$758.
Bill and Mavis Graham, Gladfield, Roma, sold 317kg Droughtmaster-cross heifers to 144c/$457.
