Mr Acton was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane Hospital last Friday night after suffering a fall from a horse while competing at Clarke Creek campdraft, situated north-west of Marlborough.
Vice-president of Paradise Lagoons Campdraft and long-time family friend to the Acton family, Cameron McIntyre, said today on behalf of the entire Acton family and the Paradise Lagoons Campdraft Committee, they would like to thank everyone for their kind thoughts, prayers and inspirational messages that have come in abundance.
Mr McIntyre said in a bid to avoid any speculation, it was too early to determine whether or not the 2014 Paradise Lagoons Campdraft would go ahead as planned from July 16 to 20.
“We will keep everyone updated, and thank you for your support and understanding,” he said.
Paradise Lagoons Campdraft is held at the Acton family’s home property where they constructed a purpose built campdrafting facility in 2003, and is Australia’s richest campdraft.
