STEPHEN and Karyn Duff’s Duff Red Brangus stud took out the top double in the Brangus feature show as part of the Fraser Coast Show’s stud cattle section last week.

It was the junior champion bull, Duff Hill End, which took out the grand champion Brangus bull ribbon, while Duff Red Garnet, the senior champion cow, secured the grand champion female ribbon for the stud.
The Jackson family’s Sandy Banks Brangus stud, Tiaro, did well winning senior champion calf bull with Sandy Banks Matlock as well as the champion heifer calf with Sandy Banks Alley, plus the sire’s progeny group.
Shadow Valley Brangus, owned by the Kapernick family, Gin Gin, secured the dam’s progeny group ribbon.
Redline Ice from Peter and Kristine Dingle’s Redline Brangus, Eidsvold, snared the senior champion bull title. The stud’s Redline Jirette was named the junior champion heifer.
In the interbreed, it was 13-year-old stud owner Hayden Beresford, Bony Villa Limousin Stud, Biggenden, who turned heads winning the supreme champion beast of the show with Bony Villa Harry, a 19-month-old bull.
It was the icing on the cake for Bony Villa, which earlier won the champion sires progeny group.
The 38-month-old Oakwood Made Felicity from Paul Forman’s Oakwood Limousin Stud, Bundaberg, won the supreme champion cow or heifer of the show.
Oakwood Limousins also won the champion breeders group.
In the Bos Indicus, Bundy Crystal from Courtney Fleming, Bundy Droughtmasters, Bundaberg won grand champion female, while the stud’s Bundy D-Max won grand champion bull.
Small breeds were well represented. Kerridale Ne-Argo from Dave Goebel, Woolooga was named grand champion bull.
Mr Goebel also snatched the female equivalent with Kerridale Neena named grand champion cow or heifer.
