Under pristine blue skies and unlikely warm May weather, thousands turned out to see the region’s best agricultural displays and enjoy people’s day.
Cattle entries were strong with studs from as far as Gogango and Kingaroy represented.
Student numbers were up as well with schools from Maryborough, Childers and Bundaberg all sending teams along to help groom, parade and display miniature, Bos Taurus and Bos Indicus breeds.
The large contingent of young people made for strong competition in the junior judging and handling sections.
Bundaberg Regional Council mayor Mal Forman, a regular site around the stud cattle ring, said the weather helped to attract plenty of visitors.
