24 bulls ave $3100.
Top $3500 42pc clearance
DETERIORATING seasonal conditions undoubtedly contributed to a tough result for vendors at the Sunstate Angus Bull Sale at Warwick on Friday.
Despite 34 bidders registering for the sale, only 16 buyers took home bulls, leading to a sale clearance of 42 per cent.
Most of the buyers were repeat Sunstate Angus customers, travelling from as far away as Taroom, Eidsvold, Deepwater, NSW, and across the southern Downs.
The Boonah-based Merly Angus Stud, owned by Hugh and Dianne Bennett, sold the top price bull for $3500. The Frame family, Basic Black, Tannymorel, sold the largest draft, offloading seven of their eight bulls under the hammer.
Thirteen vendors from across southern Queensland and the Burnett were involved in the sale which has been running in its current form for five years.
Selling agents: George and Fuhrmann, Warwick and TopX Warwick.
