A TRUCK trailer overturned on Thursday evening, closing the Carnarvon Highway in both directions, 40 kilometres south of Rolleston.

It is believed the container was carrying ammonium nitrate.
The Carnarvon Highway has since been re-opened but Queensland Police Service will close it again later today to reclaim the trailer.
Police were advised around 5.10pm that a truck carrying a trailer with dangerous goods had rolled and material was spilling onto the road.
A cordon was set up around the crash site to allow emergency services to assess the material.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
