The Queensland Government is improving road train access.
LIVESTOCK transporters and local government representatives in Central Queensland have welcomed a State Government announcement that it will fund the cost of pilot escorts to allow type-two road trains to travel on a section of the Gregory Highway between Clermont and Emerald.
The measure is being undertaken to assist drought-affected cattle producers from the state's North West with better access to markets at Emerald.
