After the Easter break, export classes remained firm with all other classes softening in price.
Best bulls reached 238.2c/kg with most making 200-215c/kg. Best Limousin bullocks sold on account of John and Karol Wilkes in pen lots sold to 313.2c/kg to return $1957.
Few heavy feeder steers yarded selling to a top of 284.2c/kg. Heavy South Devon heifers sold on account of Brian Nothdurft, Linthorpe sold to 270.2c/kg to return $1440.
Best cows from the Highland Plains sold to 235.2c/kg to return $1752.
Best trade steers and heifers were sold on account of RJ Earl, Greenmount to 314.2c/kg.
Quality trade steers suited to the local butchers sold to 321.2c/kg.
Light weight steers sold on isolated occasions to 312.2c/kg. Light weight Angus steers offered by Howard and Sandra Littleton, Crows Nest sold to 278.2c/kg. Store cows and calves reached $760.
TOOWOOMBA PIG SALE
76 pigs were yarded at Elders Harristown Saleyards on Monday. All classes of pigs on offer sold to a much cheaper rate, store pigs sold a lot cheaper than the higher rates of previous weeks.
Prime Pork $230, Prime Light Bacon $230, Boars $78, Sows $130, Forward Stores $158, Weaners $90, Suckers $70.

PIGS
Goombungee and Haden Show Pig sale saw 63 pigs yarded with prices selling to the dearest rate seen in years. The champion sow sold by N and G Timm, Haden made $470 purchased by Uni Plaza Meats with the same vendor sold a boar returning to the paddock returned $440 purchased by AJ & CM Mullins, Warwick.
LAMBS
Goombungee and Haden Show Lamb sale saw 36 lambs yarded, the average price per head being $175. Top priced lamb sold by GG and KA Nothdurft, Biddeston made $240 purchased by Paynes Meats. Thanks to the buyers who attended, Paynes Meats, Uni Plaza Meats, Maclagan Meats, Bannock Brae Meats, BE Campbell Pty Ltd and all the members of the Show committee.
