THE 760 hectare (1880 acre) Durong property Wandaroon, due to be auctioned last Thursday at BMO Dalby, has sold prior to auction to a local grazier. The property was marketed and sold by Ross Murray of Landmark Harcourts Dalby.
Some 140ha of brigalow regrowth was blade ploughed some 18 months ago and has a very good stand of silk sorghum, bambatsi and creeping blue grass established, just waiting for rain. Growth last year was prolific with abundant feed over 2m high.
There is some 280ha available for cultivation, the balance being open grazing. With no timber issues on the property having a PMAV in place, further blade ploughing is envisaged.
Wandaroon has five bores, timber cattle yards and good fencing. Improvements include a four bedroom brick home, two steel frame machinery sheds, and a lockable, enclosed shed used as a workshop and storeroom.
