The continuing dry weather lifted the supply of stock at Dalby by 823 head to 7099 on Wednesday. Included in the line-up were 1600 head from far western Queensland, 1300 head from NSW and a few from South Australia.
A full panel of export buyers was present and operating, along with some interstate processors. At the time of the interim report prices have eased across most classes.
Medium and heavy weight yearling steers to feed averaged 6c less and a few yearling heifers were 17c/kg cheaper. Heavy gown steers and bullocks eased 5c to 8c and cows were cheaper by 7c to 12c and up to 17c/kg on plain condition lines.
Yearling steers to feed have made from 250.2c to 274.2c to average 262.6c, 6c less. Yearling heifers to feed have averaged 17c easier to sell from 192.2c to 224.2c.
Heavy grown steers to processors have sold from 242.2c to 255c. Grown heifers to processors have made from 170c to 182.2c to be 22c easier. Medium weight cows to processors have sold from 150c to 178.2c to average 163.6c to be 17c cheaper. The best of the bulls has made to 240c.
