Friends of missing Mount Isa man Dallas Pyke have launched a GoFundMe campaign to help locate him.
Mr Pyke, 37, a father of three, disappeared on December 31 on his way home from Cairns to Mount Isa via Normanton.
Police have released a CCTV image of Mr Pyke, taken when he stopped for fuel in Normanton.
Later that afternoon he had a short conversation with a friend while passing through Cloncurry.
He is travelling in a white Toyota wagon, black roof rack with 4 spotlights on the bull bar.
The alarm was raised after he failed to show up for work at the mines on Wednesday, January 3.
Police and SES have searched some areas but have come up with no trace and the search has been called off until further leads arise.
His phone has been off or out of range and he has not accessed his bank accounts since going missing.
Mr Pyke is caucasian, 178cm tall, of medium build with blue eyes, brown hair and a beard. He was last seen wearing a grey “NYC 1982” T-shirt and blue board shorts. His Toyota Landcruiser has a personalised registration plate “2DBP8”.
According to the GoFundMe page any funds raised are for the hire of a helicopter from Cloncurry to search for Dallas in areas that the police did not search. Any additional funds will be donated to his children.
Police are urging anyone who may have seen him to contact the Mount Isa District Criminal Investigation Branch on 07 4744 1111 or Policelink on 131 444.
