A TOTAL of 560 cattle at Bartholomew and Co’s Beaudesert store sale on Saturday.
A top quality line up of cows and calves came to hand and met very strong competition. Lines of weaner steers and heifers sold above vendors’ expectations with plenty of potential buyers going home without cattle. Feeder steers were also in demand selling to a dearer market.
AJ Bush and Sons, Bromelton, sold Droughtmaster steers 18 months for $1370. Charbray steers 18 months from David and Sharon Bruce, Tamborine, sold for $1330. Brangus steers 15 months account Frank and Tina Browne, Moogerah, made $1055.
Euro-cross steers 12 months from John and Donna Mounsey, Moogerah, made $955. Paul Benstead, Christmas Creek sold Euro-cross steers 12 months for $970. AJ Bush and Sons also sold Droughtmaster weaner steers for $965. Droughtmaster weaner steers account David and Annette Kassulke, Bromelton, made $965.
Michael Oehlmann, Barney View, sold Droughtmaster weaner steers for $970. Limousin weaner steers from Jon Stiller and Co, Allenview, made $945. John and Donna Mounsey sold Droughtmaster weaner steers for $850. Kent Ferguson, Woolooman, sold Droughtmaster weaner heifers 15 months for $1160.
Droughtmaster-cross heifers 15 months account Ray and Diane Bruxner, Laravale, made $1110. Mitchell Wagner, Boonah, sold Charbray heifers 14 months for $1050. Limousin heifers 12 months account Jon Stiller and Co sold for $900. Ben and Jemma King, Boonah, sold Charbray heifers 10 months for $850.
