The Haager family, Valorbrook Angus, Bell, will be offering a draft of 60 oats prepared Angus Bulls during their annual on-property bull sale being held on Friday, August 25 from 12pm.
Brett said the sale draft was put together with needs of commercial buyers in mind.
“We selected for weight, softness and thickness, and doing ability, as these bulls have to go to the paddock and perform,” he said.
Progeny of stud sires HF Tiger 5T and Airlie Station D1 feature prominently in the sale draft.
“We’ve stayed away from using an AI program recently, and gone back to using good sires to get cows into calving quickly.”
He said the average weight of the 50 two-year-old and 10 yearling bulls in the draft is between 760-780kg.
In a wonderfully charitable gesture all proceeds raised from the sale of Lot 1, Valorbrook L25 will be donated to LifeFlight.
Fairvale Shorthorn Stud will also offer 10 bulls in conjunction with the sale.
All sale bulls have been vaccinated for 3 Germ Blood, BEF and 7-in-1, are semen tested and are backed by a two year breeding soundness guarantee. Weights and raw scan data will be available on sale day.
On-property inspections are welcome at anytime by appointment.
