Numbers reduced by 1564 head at Dalby this week, where medium weight yearling steers to feed were 3c better while heavy weights to feed at the time of this interim report averaged 2c to 7c/kg less. Medium weight yearling heifers to feed sold to stronger competition however heavy weight yearlings to the trade were cheaper. Heavy grown steers and bullocks averaged 4c to 8c less and cows were cheaper by 2c to 5c/kg.
Medium weight yearling steers to feed made to 370c and heavy weights made from 318.2c to 345.2c to average 329.2c/kg. Medium weight yearling heifers to feed made from 310c to 355.2c and averaged 333.4c/kg.
Grown steers in the 500-600kg range made from 278.2c to 295.2c, back 4c/kg. Medium weight cows made to 235.9c and heavy weights sold from 233.2c to 243.2c and averaged 240.8c/kg. Heavy bulls made to 330.5c/kg.
