Brangus bulls sold to $13,000 to average $5535 at last week’s Triple B Brangus Sale, Dingo, while registered heifers topped at $4000 to average $2886 and commercial weaner heifers topped $1400 per head.
Vendors, the Barlow family, Triple B Stud saw their seedstock and commercial product achieve complete clearance at auction for the female section of the offering while the male section of the catalogue cleared 94pc.
Sale topper at $13,000 was the 24-month-old, 720kg, Triple B K200 (AI) a son of IH Bar None (US) with a final growth EBV of +38, selling to Trevor and Colleen Jorgensen, Belview Stud, Delungra, New South Wales. Belview took home two to average $10,000 along with a 101 Ranger 99W11 (US) daughter for $4000. Next best was the $10,000 K201 (AI) (654kg) (24-months) (WAT Lead Gun (US)) selling to Ron and Narelle Hanson, Bindaree Stud, Murgon.
Top of the females was the $4500 Triple B Brittany L204 (Triple B Huxley) (12-months) selling to Alex Curtis, Curtis Cattle Company, Farqhuas Downs, Koumala.
Reg Robinson, Glen Heart Stud, Toogoolawah selected two prospects for on average $8500 topping at $9000 for a 25-month-old, Telpara Hills Warne son. Also looking for sire material were Stewart and Kerry Wallace, Wallace Stud, Marlborough outlaying $8500 for a Suhns Distinction (US) son (25-months).
Duncan and Karen Geddes, Telemon Stud, Springsure secured the $7000, Bonox 660 son, K2018. Terry and Sue Vails, Salisbury Plains, Bowen returned taking a pair for $7500 each while Bruce and Leanne Woodard, Bonox Stud, Taroom outlaid $5500 for a Couti-Outi Quart Pot son. Lunar principals, Brad and Briony Comiskey and Dennis and Claire Couper, Emerald took the $6500, K591 (AI) (ET) (Suhn’s Next Step US)).
Bulk support came from Grant and Kate Warrian, Springrock, Injune taking 14 to average $5108 while the Perrett family, Eastbrook, Duaringa signed off on nine for a $4111 average. Carl and Cathy Collins, Colwill Cattle Company, Leura, Marlborough selected eight setting a $6063 medium with Robin Blackburn, Mirani, purchasing a pair for $9000 each.
These were sons of Southern Dealmaker (US) and Bonox 660. Rob and Ann Donahue, Barradoo, Bauhinia returned to take a single $6000 purchase while Ross and Heather Milner, Yeppoon took an $8000 Bar None (US) entry (24-months). Adding to their commercial purchases were Mal and Sue Burston, Broadlea, Nebo taking a $6000 male purchase and a trio of registered heifers at $2000 each.
