Wirraway, a luxury mansion set on a 565 hectare property in the Scenic Rim, is on the market.

WIRRAWAY, a luxury mansion and 565 hectare (1396 acre) property in the Scenic Rim region has been placed on the market and is likely to attract international interest.

Located at Biddaddaba, about an hour’s drive from Brisbane, the property has been extensively renovated since 2012.

The impressive estate includes a four bedroom mansion with a grand ballroom, wine cellar, home cinema, gymnasium and library; a 30m pool; two guest houses and tennis court; two aircraft hangars, a 1km airstrip and a large machinery shed.

The property is being marketed through an expressions of interest campaign through Colliers International closing on November 11.

“Originally this property had a large scale four bedroom traditional homestead with a ballroom which was in disrepair. Both the property and the home needed major renovation,” Mr Forrest said.

“The owners demolished old buildings and finished off existing structures like the aircraft hangars. Just about everything in the house was custom made, they wanted top quality in every part of the renovation, and done perfectly.

“The IT system manages many of the property’s features including the CCTV, gatehouse and security, home entertainment, fireplaces, irrigation, energy management and lighting.  

“The remainder of the property is utilised as a stud cattle operation, running Droughtmaster cattle. The land is made up of 565ha comprising irrigation land, improved pastured grazing land, improved pastured timber grazing, scrub as well as buildings, grounds and airstrip.”
