A total of 912 cattle were yarded at Moreton on Tuesday, with values remaining strong.

Agents Boyd O’Brien Bartholomew reported a yarding of 912 cattle on Tuesday.  Values for yearlings and vealers remained strong.  Feeders were unchanged to a little easier.  Good trade sold well, export cattle were easier in line with current trends.  The overall quality of the yarding was good and all buyers were present.

I & R Rural sold yearling heifers for 274.2c weighing 236kg to return $647.  Angus yearling steers account O’Reilly Partnership, Mutdapilly sold for 281.2c weighing 300kg to return $845.  Rolly Molkentein sold euro yearling steers for 285.2c weighing 182kg to return $520.  M Read, Ipswich sold angus pasture heifers for 266.2c weighing 510kg to return $1357.  Pens of pasture fed santa heifers account R L Cox & Co, Rockhampton sold for 257.2c weighing 530kg to return $1365.  Pasture fed limousin steers account R & D Bassett, Lanefield sold for 289.2c weighing 535kg to return $1547.
