Grow Queensland is a project that has been many months in the making for the Queensland Country Life editorial team.
Our journalists are always coming across stories of great optimism and innovation so we decided it was time to get around to these places, region by region, and take a closer look at the towns and families, industries and businesses that drive our economy and sustain our communities.
We also wanted to explore some of the issues and impediments to growth in these regions and come up with some tangible solutions so that we can continue to see these regions grow and prosper.
These stories will be available in print and on our Grow Queensland microsite.
Over the next seven months we’ll be getting around the state, holding monthly forums featuring a panel of experts who will flesh out some big ideas.
We kick off with our first forum in Toowoomba on Friday, February 12, and will be live streaming this event on queenslandcountrylife.com.au
We’d love your feedback on the live streaming and whether you’d like us to continue that for the six other regional forums. Next on the list is Quilpie on March 3.
Many thanks to our principal supporting partners who have helped make these forums possible - Rabobank, Suzuki, Queensland Agricultural Training Colleges, Case IH and Elders.
We look forward to having you join us in the #GrowQld conversation.
