MULTI-PERIL crop insurance (MPCI) business Latevo International has confirmed it will change reinsurers this winter cropping season.
Latevo managing director Andrew Trotter said the company was close to making an announcement regarding its new insurer.
“We’re just finalising everything now, it will be public very soon.”
He said there had been an amicable split between Latevo and its former reinsurer Allianz.
“I have to thank Allianz for the work they’ve done with us, now we have separate ideas on how to take these products forward,” Mr Trotter said.
For its part, Allianz intends to focus on the MPCI market with its subsidiary Primacy, which will be offering its PrimeGuard insurance product this year.
