ONE of two rural properties put to the market today has sold.
The noted western Darling Downs cattle and grain property Strathmore sold after auction for an undisclosed price to a local landholder.
The 1960-hectare (4842 acre) property located at Dulacca and about 110 kilometres from Roma was initially passed in for $2.5 million. It is understood the property sold for a substantially higher figure.
Strathmore is described as superb finishing country with 480ha of cultivation.

There is about 1200ha of brigalow scrub country, the majority of which has been blade ploughed, 1200ha of cleared box, ironbark country with buffel and natural grasses, and 800ha of natural forest country.
Improvements include a five bedroom homestead, airstrip, hangar, donga complex, and large steel cattle yards. Three parties registered to bid at the Waterview auction.
