A total of 224 bulls went through the ring on the first day of the Droughtmaster National Sale at Gracemere with some vendors averaging more than $32,000.
Gayle and Mac Shann of Lamont Droughtmasters, Clermont, may have been in the final three vendors of Tuesday's selling but buyers were willing to pay an average of $32,750 for their four bulls.
Next best was the Beth Streeter, Palmvale, Marlborough, with two bulls averaging $27,250 while Seymour Droughtmaster stud, Gunalda averaged $23,500 for their seven and Skye Droughtmasters, Alpha, averaged $23,388 for nine.
The sale saw an overall average of $14,534 on day one.
