Mackay district cattle fattening property Constant Creek will be auctioned by Black's Real Estate on February 18.
The 675.91ha (1670 acre) freehold property, situated 28km from Mackay, is being offered by David Wright, who also owns Spencer Station west of Mackay.
The property was purchased from the Denman family in 2007-08, which had owned one of the parcels of land since 1920.
It boasts frontage to the tidal Constant Creek and access to some of the region's best fishing and crabbing experiences, as well as aquaculture opportunities, subject to statutory authority approvals.
Glorious views of Belmunda Bay and the Pacific Ocean are accessible via the historic Potter's Landing boat ramp on the property, which harks back to the days when primary producers accessed lighters from the large sailing vessels unable to venture closer.
Constant Creek is in five separate titles, has five stock watering dams, 485ha of cleared pasture land, and 60ha of irrigated cultivated land.
The cattle country is well suited to backgrounding, breeding and/or fattening.
The pastured country can be used to grow sugarcane or other crops with very little preparation.
The irrigation water is free and the property has extensive underground irrigation infrastructure, as well as receiving reliable rainfall, in the order of 1625 mm or 65 inches on average annually.
There is three phase power to the boundary of the property, and access to export meatworks at Bakers Creek, Mackay.
A large Mackay Sugar siding supplying the Farleigh Mill is close by.
Constant Creek is securely boundary fenced and sub-divided into 12 main cattle paddocks and several smaller paddocks.
There is a mustering lane system leading to the stockyards from most paddocks.
The yards are a combination of timber, cable and steel, with a capacity to work 400 cattle. They have a good dip, crush and weigh box, plus a branding cradle and loading ramp.
There is one 15m x 6m open, four-bay machinery shed, plus a lockable saddle shed at the yards.
Several magnificent home sites are available with views spanning across the creek and out to the ocean.
There is a bitumen road within 1.5 kms of the boundary.
