This sale also saw another increase in value with a new saleyard record of 851c/kg.
Cows 400 to 520kg topped at 383c/kg and averaged 376c/kg while cows over 520kg topped at 392c/kg or $2161 and averaged 386c/kg.
Heavy feeder steers between 480 to 520kgs reached 518c/kg with heavy bullocks making 425c/kg to return $2707. Steers 250 to 300kg averaged 714c/kg and topped at 810c/kg to return $2212. Light weaner steers topped at 852c/kg or $1850 and averaged 772c/kg overall.
Heavy feeder heifers averaged 553c/kg to top at 575c/kg. Heifers under 250kg topped at 748c/kg or $1625 and averaged $1295. Heifers under 250 to 300kg sold to 690c/kg and averaged 648c/kg.
W and K Dow's 636kg bullocks sold to $2708. Droughtmaster feeder steers from C and J Baldwin sold to 495c/kg to return $2568. CJ Mahon's steers weighing 324kg sold for 700c/kg or $2272. B and E Partnership's Charbray steers sold to $2513 or 690c/kg. Weaner steers from Charlton Doblo sold for 851c/kg to return $1721.
First calf heifers with Charbray Brangus cross calves at foot sold for $3300/unit. Darren Keitley's 353kg heifers sold for 576c/kg to return $2030. GW Brian's Hereford cross weaner heifers sold for 690c/kg to return $1932. Light Brangus weaner heifers on account of Forsyth family sold for 747c/kg to return $1625.
