Cattle were drawn from Townsville in the north, Clermont in the west, Miriam Vale in the south and the usual local areas.

The good quality lines of cattle on-hand met with very strong competition throughout.

The usual processors were all present and operating, along with strong panels of southern restocker buyers.

Yearling and weaner cattle saw average increases of up to 30c/kg and heavy feeders were up 20c/kg on the previous week's strong sale.

Slaughter steers sold to 540c, average 505c, steers 400-500kg made 594c, average 553c, steers 300-400kg reached 630c, average 563c, steers 200-300kg made 840c, average 726c and steers under 200kg sold to 852c, average 797c.

Slaughter cows sold to 470c, average 416c, cows 400-500kg made 494c, average 411c, and cows under 400kg made 470c, average 375c.

Slaughter heifers sold to 556c, average 499c, heifers 300-400kg made 610c, average 512c, heifers 200-300kg reached 798c, average 649c, and heifers under 200kg made 802c, average 722c.
