After disruptions in 2021 due to COVID, the Women of the World (WOW) festival will return to outback Queensland in 2022.
The festival will kick off in Longreach between the 4th and 6th of March, before holding events in Cairns, Logan and Brisbane later in the year.

The three jam-packed days in Longreach will coincide with International Women's Day and Queensland's Women's week.
Each day at the Longreach Civic and Cultural Centre will include presentations from various guest speakers, including WOW Australia patron The Hon. Quentin Bryce and ABC's Landline presenter Pip Courtney.
WOW encourages cultural and creative dialogue, debate and celebration through demonstrations of music, comedy and fashion.
To cater for the currently unpredictable COVID situation, the festival has been planned in a hybrid format, so those who cannot make it to any of the locations can tune in and watch the presentations online.

The Queensland Government will be the principal partner for the event which is expected to attract thousands of participants.
Global Advisor for the WOW Foundation and Executive Producer of WOW Australia Cathy Hunt said that it was great to see the Queensland Government supporting regional communities, such as Longreach, in their economic and social recovery from the pandemic.
"We are thrilled to return to and celebrate the women and girls in regional and rural towns across Queensland, particularly following the postponement of elements of our 2021 program due to public health orders," she said,
"It's really important that we honour the planning done by women in Longreach, Cairns and Logan to deliver the WOW experience and ensure their stories and ideas for the future are heard.
"Listening to local communities and creating a space to share their experiences alongside the work of renowned changemakers gives us all the chance to rethink the world in which we want to live, value women's work and find solutions to ongoing issues of gender discrimination."
The full event program is available on the WOW festival website.
