New buyers were again in attendance, competing with regular western and local buyers, leading to a very strong market. Cows and calves were especially sought after.
Nairana Partnership, Thornton, sold a Brahman steer for $3300 and pens of Droughtmaster cows for $2760 and $2320. Cooper Pastoral, Braemore, sold six to 10-month-old Charbray weaners, with lines of steers selling for $2030, $1840, $1790 and $1710 and heifers $1710, $1490 and $1460. Clarence Smith, Flagstone Creek, sold Brangus/Bazadais weaner steers, eight to 10 months, with steers making $2030 and $1990.
Graham Duncan, Ma Ma Creek, sold Santa cows and calves for $3280, Brahman cows and calves for $3100 and steers for $2330 and $2310. Peter and Elaine Horrocks, Mt Whitestone, sold lines of heifers, with Droughtmasters making $2000 and Charbrays $1960. Robin Goltz, Caffey, sold young Charbray bulls for $2200 and cows for $2100. Copley Gully, Kilcoy, sold pens of feed on steers for $1950 and $1850 and heifers for $1770, $1700 and $1640.
Danny Doyle, Dayboro, sold seven to eight-month-old Droughtmaster weaners, with steers making $1840 and heifers $1500. Ramon Bachmann, Blenheim, sold Charbray steers for $2220, $1930 and $1920. Brendan Christensen, Monsildale, sold pens of Charbray and Droughtmaster cows and calves for $2980, $2880, $2760 and $2380. Sandra Phillips, Derrymore, sold Droughtmaster steers, 10 to 12 months, for $2000.
LC Livestock, Rosewood, sold feed on steers for $2140 and weaner steers for $1880. Jason Summerville, Lowood, sold a line of Angus weaner steers for $1900. Grant Kahler, Barker Creek Flat, sold Droughtmaster steers, eight months, for $1830. Craig Redgwell, Tarampa, sold a pen of 16-month-old Brahman cross heifers for $1850.

David Molkentien, Lowood, sold Charolais cows and calves for $2940 and $2920. Collins Grazing, Anduramba, sold a pen of Charbray store heifers, four to five months, for $1290.
