Burnett Livestock & Realty's Biggenden meatworks and store sale on Monday saw a yarding of 2053 head. The market strengthened again with all descriptions up on last sale. The real winners were weaner heifers (up 35c), weaner steers (up 42c) and feeder steers (up 53c). A new Biggenden c/kg record was set with steers hitting 828.2c/kg for some quality Droughtmaster weaner steers.
Cattle were drawn from Sarina, Theodore, Eidsvold, Mundubbera, Binjour, Gayndah, Mount Perry, Gaeta, Miriam Vale, Yandaran, Bundaberg, Widgee, Lower Wonga, Gympie, Tiaro, Booubyjan, Hervey Bay, Maryborough and all local areas.
