There were 257 head yarded at Stariha Auctions Woodford cattle sale on Monday.
Several new buyers were in attendance, sending the market to record levels, with all descriptions very strong.
Christine Rowe, Laceys Creek, sold a line of eight to nine-month-old Charolais steers for $1805. Thomas Carman, Cooran, sold Charbray backgrounder steers for $1940. Darren Weeks, Stanmore, sold Charbray cows for $2600, cows and calves for $2600 and backgrounder steers for $1910. J Hennessy, Delaneys Creek, sold eight-month-old weaner males for $1600, cows for $2270 and Droughtmaster heifers for $1710.
Martin Malt, Beerburrum, sold Brahman cows and calves for $2740. M and J Lanham, Conondale, sold Senepol cross weaner steers for $1795. Garrett Holdings, Yandina, sold a pen of Droughtmaster weaner heifers for $1855. Chris Anderson, Mt Kilcoy, sold the top cow, with a Murray Grey cow selling for $2760.
Paul Dingle, Elaman Creek, sold a line of Droughtmaster weaner steers for $1640. Warren Jackson, Stanmore, sold Charbray steers for $2320. Glen Warburton, Laceys Creek, sold Charbray steers for $2145. Dean Bauer, Moorina, sold Brahman backgrounder steers for $1900 and $1840 and heifers for $1620 and $1520. Roderick and Sons, Witta, sold Brahman feed on steers for $1880 and $1800.
Allen Lyon, Conondale, sold pens of Droughtmaster steers for $1900 and $1795. Cecil Heit, Stony Creek, sold Droughtmaster heifers for $1800. Dorothy Roderick, Witta, sold a Brahman steer for $2410. Lorraine Sinclair, Witta, sold a Hereford cross cow and calf for $2880. Turf Territory, Gregors Creek, sold a Charolais bull for $2800.
