One of the biggest weekends on Roma's calendar, the Roma Cup racing weekend kicked off on Friday night with plenty of events around town.
After the Young Beef Producers Forum brought people from around the state to town, there were plenty of patrons at the Club Hotel's Bull-a-rama.
With a backdrop of the longest partial lunar eclipse in 508 years, entertainer Russell Dewhurst pumped out CCR's Bad moon rising to an appreciative crowd as the six-event bull ride took place.
Across town the RSL Roma sub-branch hosted a Rockin the RSL night to support live music, men's health and suicide prevention, in conjunction with the South West Hospital and Health Service and Headspace.
As well as a beard competition, gift vouchers and a guessing game were part of the entertainment.
It was a great introduction to a big day of racing anticipated at Bassett Park on Saturday.
