ANGUS females were in hot demand as stud and commercial buyers from across New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria cleared all 58 females and 12 bulls at the Inaugural Booragul Angus Female Sale near Gunnedah on Thursday.
Vendors, Tim and Margaret Vincent, were ecstatic at the "complete new buying crowd" that filled the marquee for the video sale.
"It's the first time we have had a video sale, the first time we have had a female sale and it's the first time we have met a lot of these buyers," Mr Vincent said.

In the breakdown, 24 Angus Heifers sold to a top of $13,000 and averaged $8375,16 Angus pregnancy-tested-in-calf (PTIC) heifers topped at $10,000 with an average of $7563, 17 Angus cows and calves averaged $9000 and achieved a top of $12,000, twice.
The Vincent family also offered and sold all 12 yearling bulls at a top of $20,000, twice, with an average of $13,834.
Booragul Glaze R76, a 16-month-old daughter of Pathfinder Magnum M778, attracted the $13,000 top price female bid from Erbacher Pastoral Trust, Parkdale, Vic.
The undisclosed buyer from Parkdale in Victoria secured the young females who displayed excellent calving ease figures, large eye muscle area (EMA) of +7.4 and positive fat.
In the cows and calves, Booragul Deli Q110, a Stoney Point Reality M911 daughter, with bull calf-at-foot sold for $12,000 to volume buyer Jenny and Will Jansen of Alpha, Qld, and Booragul Glaze Q124, a Booragul Docklands N42 daughter, with heifer calf-at-foot also sold for $12,000 to a AuctionsPlus buyer from Brookstead, Qld.
In the PTIC heifer section of the catalogue, Booragul Glaze P19, a Pathfinder General K7 daughter, sold for a top of $10,000 to a Coonabarabran buyer on AuctionsPlus, and Booragul Fleur P155 also sold for $10,000 to Segenhoe Aberdeen Angus, Aberdeen.
The top price for bulls on the day was $20,000 with Booragul Maxwell R45, a Farrer Maxwell M99 son, and Booragul Nobleman R89 sired by Inglebrae Farms Nobleman N6 both taking out top honors.
Maxwell R45 purchased by 4P Pastoral Co, Gunnedah, and Nobleman R89 was bought by Roger and Geraldine Bomford ,Barraba.
Auctioneer Paul Dooley said "the wet weather did not deter buyers who were chasing the quality and top end genetics that Booragul had on offer".
The sale was conducted and settled by Elders Tamworth and Gunnedah.
